On Thursday, May 8, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted a motion to vacate a prior suspension order for attorney Michael Paul Keskey. The decision followed Keskey’s request to lift the suspension imposed in September 2024, which had barred him from practicing law in New York due to noncompliance with attorney registration requirements.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Michael Paul Keskey,” with case number PM-108-25.
The original suspension stemmed from Keskey’s failure to meet statutory obligations under Judiciary Law § 468-a for the 2021-2022 and 2023-2024 biennial registration periods. The court’s September 2024 order listed Keskey among attorneys disciplined for conduct deemed prejudicial to the administration of justice.
However, Keskey, representing himself, submitted correspondence on April 24, 2025, seeking to reverse the suspension. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department responded on May 2, 2025, acknowledging that Keskey had resolved his registration delinquency before the court issued the suspension order.
After reviewing the submissions, the court determined that Keskey had fully addressed the registration issues prior to the September 2024 ruling. As a result, the court modified its earlier decision, removing Keskey’s name from the list of suspended attorneys.
According to Avvo, Mr. Keskey is an attorney in Phoenix, Arizona. He acquired his law license in New York in 2017.
