On Thursday, February 29, 2024, attorney David Addison Grant Murray was reinstated to active status after completing a one-year suspension imposed by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

The case is entitled “Office of the Disciplinary Counsel v. David Addison Grant Murray,” with case no. 3 DB 2023.

Murray had been suspended in August 2023 after being convicted of criminal trespass and simple assault stemming from an altercation with his ex-girlfriend in October 2021. The Supreme Court accepted a joint petition from Murray and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel recommending a one-year suspension retroactive to February 2023.

The petition noted several mitigating factors, including Murray’s lack of prior disciplinary issues, cooperation with the investigation, acknowledgment of responsibility, and acceptance of a temporary suspension pending the outcome of the disciplinary matter. The Supreme Court’s order suspended Murray for one year retroactive to February 2023.

On February 29, 2024, the Supreme Court issued an order certifying that Murray had filed documentation showing compliance with the terms of his one-year suspension under Pennsylvania Rule of Disciplinary Enforcement 217. Having completed the suspension and with no other outstanding disciplinary issues, Murray was reinstated to active status.

The Disposition states:

“AND NOW, this 29th day of February 2024, on certification by the Disciplinary Board that David Addison Grant Murray, who was suspended for a period of one year, has filed a verified statement showing compliance with the order of suspension and Pa.R.D.E. 217, and there being no other outstanding order of suspension or disbarment, David Addison Grant Murray shall be reinstated to active status.”

According to avvo.com, Mr. Murray is an attorney in Havertown, Pennsylvania. He acquired his law license in Pennsylvania in 2021.
