On Friday, July 26, 2024, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania disbarred attorney Edward E. Zang on consent. According to the order, Zang submitted a Verified Statement of Resignation to the court.

As reported by the Altoona Mirror news article, Zang, a 60-year-old attorney will be prohibited from practicing law in Pennsylvania for at least five years as a result of the disbarment.

Per the Supreme Court order, Zang acknowledged his obligation to notify clients of the disbarment. No further details were provided by the order about the circumstances that led to Zang’s resignation. The disbarment will take effect on August 25, 2024.

Respondent shall comply with the provisions of Pa.R.D.E. 217 and pay costs to the Disciplinary Board. See Pa.R.D.E. 208(g).”

According to padisciplinaryboard.org, Mr. Zang acquired his law license in Pennsylvania in 1990.
