On Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Supreme Court of South Carolina lifted the interim suspension of attorney Edward C. Nix.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Edward C. Nix,” with case no. 2023-000481.
Nix had been placed on interim suspension on April 3, 2023. Nix recently petitioned to have the interim suspension lifted. The Office of Disciplinary Counsel did not object to Nix’s request.
While his interim suspension is no longer in place, the order notes that Nix is still undergoing administrative suspension for failing to meet continuing legal education requirements. He would need to take additional steps to be reinstated as outlined in court rules.
According to avvo.com, Mr. Nix is an attorney in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended the Samford University, Cumberland School of Law, graduating in 2005. He acquired his law license in South Carolina in 2008.
