On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, the Supreme Court of Louisiana accepted a petition for consent discipline, suspending attorney Johannah C. Pizzini, also known as Hannah C. Pizzini, from practicing law for six months with all but 30 days deferred, followed by two years of probation.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Hannah C. Pizzini,” with case no. 2024-B-0754.
The discipline stemmed from Pizzini negligently including surgical estimates for another client along with her settlement demand in a personal injury case without disclosure.
Two Justices dissented, with one saying the discipline was too lenient and the other believing it was too harsh. Under the terms,
Pizzini must comply with the conditions in her probation agreement or face additional suspension or discipline. The court ordered her to pay all costs associated with the disciplinary proceeding.
