On Thursday, October 31, 2024, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department, issued a memorandum and order granting the resignation of attorney Victoria Howard Jueds from the New York Bar for nondisciplinary reasons.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Victoria Howard Jueds,” with case no. PM-209-24.
Jueds had applied to resign from the New York Bar for nondisciplinary reasons, and the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department (AGC) did not oppose her application.
The court reviewed Jueds’ affidavit, sworn to on September 4, 2024, and the October 22, 2024, correspondence from the Deputy Chief Attorney for the AGC. After determining that Jueds was eligible to resign for nondisciplinary reasons, the court granted her application and accepted her resignation.
The order stated that Jueds’ name has been stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York, effective immediately. The court further commanded Jueds to desist and refrain from the practice of law in any form in the State of New York, either as a principal or as an agent, clerk, or employee of another.
Jueds was also forbidden from appearing as an attorney or counselor-at-law before any court, judge, justice, board, commission, or other public authority, or to give an opinion on the law or its application or any advice in relation thereto, or to hold herself out in any way as an attorney and counselor-at-law in the state. The court’s order also required Jueds to surrender to the Office of Court Administration any Attorney Secure Pass issued to her within 30 days of the date of the decision.
The Disposition states:
“ORDERED that Victoria Howard Jueds’ application for permission to resign is granted and her nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”
According to avvo.com, Ms. Jueds is a lawyer in Princeton, New Jersey. She acquired her law license in New York in 2002.
