On Thursday, May 15, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted attorney Dominick Dirocco’s motion for reinstatement to practice law. Dirocco had been suspended in September 2024 for violating Judiciary Law § 468-a.  The reinstatement followed a thorough review of his motion and supporting documents.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Dominick Dirocco,” with case no. PM-116-25.

The court’s decision came after Dirocco submitted a notice of motion and an affidavit with exhibits, sworn to on February 4, 2025. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department provided responsive correspondence on April 2, 2025. The committee did not oppose the reinstatement.

In its ruling, the court found clear and convincing evidence that Dirocco met the necessary criteria for reinstatement. The justices determined that he had fully complied with the suspension order and the court’s rules. Additionally, the court confirmed that Dirocco possesses the requisite character and fitness to resume practicing law. The decision also concluded that reinstating Dirocco would serve the public interest, as outlined in the Rules for Attorney Disciplinary Matters.

The Disposition states:

“It is ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted; and it is further ORDERED that respondent is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law, effective immediately.”

According to Avvo.com, Mr. Dirocco is a government attorney in Hammonton, New Jersey. He attended Seton Hall University School of Law, graduating in 1999. He acquired his law license in New York in 2001.
