On Thursday, November 30, 2023, the State of New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department issued a memorandum and order in the matter of Attorney Jason Morton Harmon. The court granted Harmon’s application for permission to resign from the New York bar for nondisciplinary reasons.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Jason Morton Harmon,” with case no. PM-267-23.
According to the court’s decision, Harmon submitted an affidavit sworn on October 24, 2023, and filed on October 27, 2023, requesting to resign from the bar for nondisciplinary reasons. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department (AGC) did not oppose Harmon’s application. The court determined that Harmon was eligible to resign for nondisciplinary reasons and accepted his resignation.
As a result, Jason Morton Harmon’s name was stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York, effective immediately. He was commanded to desist and refrain from the practice of law in any form in the State of New York, and to surrender his Attorney Secure Pass to the Office of Court Administration within 30 days of the date of the decision.
The Disposition states:
“ORDERED that Jason Morton Harmon’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted,”
According to avvo.com, Mr. Harmon is a litigation attorney in Media, Pennsylvania. He attended the Temple University Beasley School of Law, graduating in 2010. He acquired his law license in New York in 2019.
