On Monday, March 11, 2024, the Supreme Court of Oklahoma reinstated Lyndon C. Taylor to the practice of law in Oklahoma. Taylor had resigned from the Oklahoma Bar Association and was removed from the roll of attorneys on December 16, 2022. In September 2023, Taylor petitioned the Court for reinstatement as a member of the bar.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Lyndon C. Taylor,” with case no. 2024 OK 18.

The Professional Responsibility Tribunal held a hearing on Taylor’s petition on January 10, 2024. After considering the evidence presented, the Tribunal recommended that Taylor be reinstated. The Supreme Court order noted that Taylor had met all the procedural requirements for reinstatement. It also found, through clear and convincing evidence, that Taylor had not engaged in the unauthorized practice of law in Oklahoma and that he possessed the required competency and learning in the law.

Additionally, the Court determined Taylor had presented clear proof of good moral character enough to warrant reinstatement. However, the reinstatement was conditioned on Taylor paying $645.93 in costs associated with the reinstatement proceedings within 30 days, as well as paying his 2024 bar dues. All the Justices of the Supreme Court concurred in the decision to reinstate Lyndon C. Taylor as a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association.

The Disposition states:
