On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the Supreme Court of Louisiana disbarred attorney Zachary Ryan Christiansen following a joint petition for consent discipline. The decision stemmed from an investigation by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel into allegations of professional misconduct.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Zachary Ryan Christiansen,” with case no. 2025-B-00597.

The investigation revealed that Christiansen committed theft from his law firm’s funds, neglected to diligently represent multiple clients, and provided false information to clients about the progress of their legal cases. In response to these findings, Christiansen and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel submitted a joint petition for consent discipline, which the court accepted.

As a result, Christiansen’s name has been removed from the roll of attorneys, and his license to practice law in Louisiana has been revoked. The court further mandated that he repay all misappropriated funds as a prerequisite for any future application for readmission to the bar. Additionally, Christiansen is responsible for covering all costs and expenses related to the disciplinary proceedings, with legal interest accruing 30 days after the court’s judgment becomes final.

According to Avvo.com, Mr. Christiansen is a medical malpractice attorney. He acquired his law license in Louisiana in 2012.
