On Monday, June 30, 2025, the Director of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility filed a petition with the Minnesota Supreme Court to transfer attorney Joseph J. LeBlanc to disability inactive status.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Joseph J. LeBlanc.”

The petition cites multiple disciplinary complaints against LeBlanc. During investigations, LeBlanc reported an inability to participate in his defense due to mental and physical health challenges. He disclosed significant health issues, including back, heart, and kidney problems, as well as mental health concerns stemming from these conditions, which he claims prevent him from competently representing clients.

LeBlanc provided evidence of his disability, and the Director independently obtained medical records confirming his condition.

The petition requests that the Supreme Court issue an order transferring LeBlanc to disability inactive status and seeks any additional relief deemed just and appropriate.

According to Avvo.com, Mr. LeBlanc is an employment and labor attorney in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attended the Hamline University School of Law, graduating in 2012. He acquired his law license in Minnesota in the same year.
