On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the Idaho Supreme Court accepted the resignation of Attorney Robin D. Dunn in lieu of disciplinary proceedings.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Robin D. Dunn.”
According to the court order, between 2022-2023, Dunn conspired with two clients and others to traffic methamphetamine and fentanyl. In November 2022, Dunn allegedly supplied fentanyl to a client incarcerated in a county jail. Dunn was later indicted in September 2023 on four felony charges relating to this conduct. In July 2024, Dunn pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine, with a recommended 42-month term of imprisonment.
Dunn admitted engaging in a concurrent conflict of interest and committing a criminal act reflecting poorly on his fitness to practice law. The Idaho Supreme Court’s order terminated Dunn’s right to practice law in Idaho courts effective October 9, 2024. Dunn cannot apply for readmission for at least five years, and if he does, he must meet all bar admission requirements and overcome a presumption of unfitness to practice. The court further removed Dunn’s name from their records.
According to avvo.com, Mr. Dunn was a litigation attorney in Rigby, Idaho. He acquired his law license in Idaho in 1982.
