On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, the Indiana Supreme Court issued an order suspending attorney James K. Wisco from practicing law in the state.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of James K. Wisco,” with case nos. 24S-DI-87, 24S-DI-88, and 24S-DI-89.
The court found that Wisco failed to cooperate with the disciplinary commission’s investigations into three separate grievances filed against him. Despite being ordered to show cause for his noncooperation, Wisco did not adequately respond to the court. As a result, Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush signed an order suspending Wisco from practicing law until he fully cooperates with the investigative proceedings.
The suspension will remain in effect across the three related cases until certification is received by the court of Wisco’s full cooperation. Additionally, Wisco must reimburse $537.38 to the disciplinary commission for the costs of prosecuting one of the proceedings.
According to avvo.com, Mr. Wisco is a government attorney in Martinsville, Indiana. He acquired his law license in Indiana in 2012.
