On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the Supreme Court of Missouri reinstated attorney Eldwin Ashford Nichols as a member of The Missouri Bar in good standing.
The case is entitled, “In the Matter of Eldwin Ashford Nichols,” with case no. SC100732.
Mr. Nichols had been previously suspended due to failure to pay taxes but petitioned the court for reinstatement once the matter was resolved. After presenting evidence that the tax issue was satisfactorily dealt with, the court ruled in favor of reinstating Mr. Nichols’ license to practice law in Missouri.
Chief Justice Mary R. Russell signed the court order allowing Mr. Nichols to resume his position as a licensed attorney with the bar after dealing with his tax suspension.
