On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department reinstated attorney Andrew Jason Weinstein to the practice of law.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Andrew Jason Weinstein,” with case number 2024-05156.
Weinstein had been suspended from practice on March 17, 2020, for failing to comply with Judiciary Law Section 468-a relating to biennial registration requirements.
In a motion before the court, Weinstein sought reinstatement to the bar. The court granted the motion noting that Weinstein had come into compliance with Judiciary Law Section 468-a on August 6, 2024 by registering, after the effective date of the original suspension order. With compliance achieved, the Appellate Court reinstated Weinstein’s license to practice law in New York, effective October 10, 2024.
