On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the Supreme Court of Ohio issued an interim default suspension against attorney Ric Daniell.
The case is entitled “Disciplinary Counsel v. Ric Daniel,” with case no. 2024-0408.
According to court documents, on March 21, 2024, the Board of Professional Conduct filed a certification of default with the Court, stating that Daniell failed to respond to a formal complaint that was pending before the Board. He must provide clients with any paperwork or property belonging to them and refund any unearned fees. Other attorneys and parties in pending legal matters must also be notified of Daniell’s suspension.
As part of the suspension, Daniell is required to complete continuing legal education requirements and cannot be reinstated until he complies with reinstatement rules. He must also reimburse the Client Security Fund for any claims paid out due to his actions.
