On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, the Supreme Court of Maryland temporarily suspended attorney Brian David O’Neill from practicing law after the Attorney Grievance Commission filed a disciplinary petition against him.

The case is entitled “Attorney Grievance Commission v. Brian David O’Neill,” with case no. 5.

The court ordered O’Neill to show cause why he shouldn’t be suspended but he did not file a response. In response to the petition and request for suspension, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Maryland issued an order to suspend O’Neill from practicing law in the state.

The order also directed the clerk of the court to remove O’Neill’s name from the registry of attorneys and notify relevant legal parties of the suspension.

According to avvo.com, Mr. Neill is an energy & utilities attorney in Washington, DC. He attended the Florida State University College of Law. He acquired his law license in Maryland in 2007.
