On Thursday, April 4, 2024, the Tennessee Supreme Court reinstated attorney Randy Wayne Hardison to the practice of law in the state.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of R.W. Hardison, aka Randy Wayne Hardison,” with case no. M2019-00618-SC-BAR-BP.

Hardison had been suspended from practicing law by the Supreme Court on April 17, 2019, for five years, retroactive to his August 29, 2017, temporary suspension. On October 12, 2023, Hardison filed a Petition for Reinstatement pursuant to Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9, Section 30.4(d).

A hearing was held on the merits of the petition, and the Hearing Panel determined that Hardison had demonstrated by clear and convincing evidence that he had the necessary moral qualifications, competency in law, and learning to resume practice in Tennessee. The Panel recommended that his law license be reinstated.

The Supreme Court approved the Hearing Panel’s Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Judgment. The Court officially reinstated Hardison to the practice of law.

The Disposition states:

“IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED BY THE COURT: The Petitioner, R.W. Hardison, aka Randy Wayne Hardison, is hereby reinstated to the practice of law in the State of Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(d).”

According to avvo.com, Mr. Hardison is a business attorney in Franklin, Tennessee. He attended the University of Tennessee College of Law. He acquired his law license in Tennessee in 1981.
