On Thursday, June 20, 2024, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department reinstated attorney Lisa Liju Wong after suspending her in October 2021
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Lisa Liju Wong,” with case no. PM-122-24.
According to the filing, Wong submitted an affidavit and exhibits sworn on April 15, 2024, requesting reinstatement after meeting the rules for suspension. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department did not oppose Wong’s reinstatement in a May 20, 2024 letter.
The court ruled Wong satisfied the requirements to be reinstated, complied with her suspension order and court rules, and has the proper character and fitness to practice law. Reinstating Wong was also said to be in the public’s best interest.
The Disposition states:
“ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted; and it is further ORDERED that respondent is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law, effective immediately.”
